Knowing the value of your time is great.

Knowing things that are worth giving value is great.

But when you can do things that are worth your time?

…because you’ll be unstoppable.

11 Productivity Secrets worthy of your time.

1.Use 30 minutes of exercise to boost energy and self-esteem

Most people think regular exercising is all about going to the gym.

But in my experience, regular exercising is not only limited to a costly gym membership.

You can go for a brisk walk, cycling or running too.

You must be thinking what the benefits of exercise are:

Studies have shown many benefits attached to regular exercising for 30 minutes.

But the most important is that it gives you energy and boosts your self-esteem.

An article published by India times states how exercising boosts our confidence.

One study discovered that regular exercise reduced feelings of fatigue. A study on 36 healthy people for six weeks revealed less fatigue.

And increasing pollution in the environment should not be an excuse.

Because benefits of physical activity can outweigh the risks of air pollution. (Scientists included walking and cycling in their study)

Once you’ve found a form of regular exercising which is convenient to you.

That’s where you’ll find the key for your high self-esteem and energy.

You don’t want to spend your whole time into doing physical activity.

Working out for 30 minutes every day is enough to reap its benefits.

And keeping interruptions like mobile away can make it more productive.

Now that you know the benefit of regular exercising, it’s almost time to start doing it.

Before you do, make sure to read the next thing on my list…

2.Add “Books” to stimulate your mind and improve focus and concentration (Read for an hour)

Today’s super-smart screens have made us forget the simple pleasure of curling up a good book.

And caused lack of stimulation and affected our focus and concentration.

Instead, reading a book every day has scientific benefits attached to it.

Studies have shown that like any other body muscle, reading a book every day is a brain exercise for your brain.

It keeps your mind active and engaged prevents it from losing power.

And staying mentally stimulated can slow the progress of Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Not only that…

According to North Central University, reading improves focus and concentration. And helps develop a feeling of empathy.

Bottom line: Whenever you have to make a choice of using your time between books and smart screens. Chose books.

If you do not know which book to chose. You should go through the list of 50 books recommended by this year Ted Talkers.

Or you can follow the reading list of a wealthy and influential person. Like Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Bill Gates. They give credit of their success to their reading habits.

Hope their list motivates you to start reading a book.

Here’s the deal:

There would be an initial struggle in starting a new habit.

So, start by reading a few pages every day.

Or following Brain Tracy’s method of reading for an hour can make a lot of difference. Until you make it a necessity.

Remember beginning is always tough.

Now, start by reading few pages and jump on to my third point for increasing the worth of your time.

3.Use these techniques for being a smart hustler.

Talent is not everything.

If talent doesn’t hustle, it may not achieve anything.

Whether talented or not, you do not want to live with the guilt of being a non-achiever.

When did you know what your souls calling was?

As I dwell into the words “hustle” for you. I see that there are different definitions of the word.

Gary Vaynerchuk says “Hustling is putting every minute and all your effort into the goal at hand.”

I used to have the same belief. Until I came across the word “smart hustle” coined by Robert Herjavec.

Here’s what he says:

“There are two types of hustle. My dad worked in a factory his whole life. Two shifts, twenty hours a day at times and never made any money. So hustle, without the ‘smart’ part, isn’t going to get you rich. If you work hard it doesn’t mean you’ll get rich, but if you don’t work hard for sure you’ll be poor.”

From the above definitions, you can choose the form of hustle which matches your goal.

But you may be wondering:

“How much should I hustle?”

You can be a hustler for life. But you need to distribute your time depending on your other commitments.

You could try to mindfully hustle your way to your next big thing.

But keep in mind that you aim at making 1% improvement every day.

Once you’re done hustling, you’re ready for secret#4.

4.Use Meditation of 10 minutes for better focus and calmness

Your mind is full of thoughts. And it never lets you focus on what’s in front of you.

It keeps on revolving thoughts and hallucinating images of future.

It makes you lack peace.

That’s one of the many reasons for the cause of fear, anxiety, and stress.

It affects your peace and you feel like pulling your hair.

Hold on; don’t pull your hair if you are having this feeling.

You can counter this feeling and be at peace.

Yes, your guess is right.

It is meditation. You have heard about it and thought that if you do it, you will become a monk.

No, you are not going to become a monk and give Ted talks.

But in my experience, the only way to maintain peace and focus is to meditate.

Now it’s time for me to show you how to meditate to boost your focus and attention:

Sit up straight with your spine erect.

If using a chair, place your hands in your lap or on the arms of the chair.

Or, sit (with your legs) crossed on the floor with your hands (lying relaxed) in your lap.

Once you’ve decided your position, make sure you close your eyes or keep it half open.

…and start meditating.

Start with concentrating on your breathing.

Here’s a blog from Zen habits which offers practical advice to the beginners of meditation.

Concentrate on your breathing. Keep a close watch on the sensations produced by your breathing.

If your mind distracts, it’s normal. Keep patience and bring your focus back to your breathing.

In the beginning, it will happen many times but don’t lose patience.

Indeed, the best times to meditate are first thing in the morning and during the evening.

Start with short periods of 10-15 minutes. Increase this to 20-30 minutes per session, or longer if you feel at ease.

Practice daily. If you’re pressed for time, do less rather than none at all.

Regular short meditations are more beneficial than infrequent long sessions.

But keep in mind, never meditate when tired, hungry or stressed or after a large meal or alcohol.

Bottom line: whenever your mind starts to focus on the thoughts. Bring your attention back to breath.

You can meditate anytime, anywhere, like I showed you above.

Or you can join a meditation group and learn from an expert.

And once you learn it. This practice will let you earn prosperity.

Once you’ve added meditation to your everyday routine, move onto next technique#5…

5. Nurture your relationships for one hour daily

Ted talks are a part of my everyday routine. And Tedtalks based on data and actual research excites me the most.

That’s why Ted talk by Robert Waldinger on What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness are one of my favorite.

And it never fails to remind me that relationships are important.

Our longevity of life depends on the relationship we have with our friends, spouse and at work.

The healthier and happier our relationship is the longer and better our life is.

I know what you will be thinking that do we need to lean in.

Everyone has to. We cannot let our ego stall our happiness.

Bottom line is:

Relationships demand your time.

So do not let your ego kill your relationship.

Give it one hour of your time daily to allow it to prosper.

And as you give time to your relationship, do not forget to go through my 6th tip.

That’s why I choose topics which let you make your present efficient.

If you cannot spend an hour like me on your hobby.

Make sure you spend at least 30 minutes on your hobby.

But do it.

And that’s what matters.

7. Spending time with People you look Up to Everyday

We all are good imitators.

That’s because of mirror neurons in our mind.

And above all, it’s our nature to not be happy with what we have.

We always want to look up to somebody and keep them as a bench mark for a great and a happy life.

I am not asking you to have a feeling of negative or jealousy.

My point is the people you respect. You need to be around them.

If they are not with you. You can join the groups online where you can interact with them.

For instance being around a knowledgeable person tends to influence your knowledge to.

Bottom line is:

You will be able to more in insight to the psyche of the person you look up to.

And will find that emotion, feeling and thought that keeps them above you and successful.

So always spend your time with people you respect, you may learn.

8. This simple technique may change the way you visualize

How do you envision your future?

Well, I know it is a difficult question.

But I have a simple answer for you.

And that is Creative visualization.

I read about this in the popular book – “How to Practice Practical Spirituality in 365 days.”

And from that book, I learned an exercise to practice it.

That I thought will be helpful to you, so I am sharing it with you:

Creative Visualization is creating a mental screen inside your forehead. And above your eye level.

And project onto your mental screen images of your perfect life.

All you need to imagine is what you aspire to be, your dreams becoming reality and bringing you happiness.

Use all your five senses to experience it. ‘Hear’ the sounds and ‘sense’ the feelings and atmospheres.

If any unwanted or negative thoughts creep in, let them go. If they are adamant and refuse to leave, then acknowledge them with gratitude.

And end the session and return to it five or ten minutes later.

I do this exercise every day. And it has helped me a lot in maintaining my focus on what I want.

Videos by mind valley are also helpful in getting perfect at this exercise.

Bottom line is:

You first need to imagine what you want to achieve.

If you do it every day, then your thoughts and action will move in the direction of what you have imagined.

The key is to be consistent.

Now, as I appreciate your consistency and would encourage you to read my next tip.

That will make you wise and think nice.

9. Listen to the talks of Great Personalities.

Here’s the deal:

Sure, meditation helps you to focus on now…

…but in most cases, that is not enough.

Instead, I recommend tapping into a Ted talk:

A call to action.

Let me explain.

A few months back I was having problems.

And I thought my problems are unique.

So, I avoid talking about it to anyone.

But one day I came across a Ted talk by a doctor.

And It influenced me a lot.

And that day I realized the importance of Ted talk.

Always make a point to hear to a Ted talk.

It will help you strengthen your purpose.

And keep you in line with your goals.

10. Accept the problems in your life

It’s hard to accept but it is true.

You and I cannot run away from it.

Life consists of problems. We solve one problem; we will have another problem to solve.

My neighbor has a problem and even warren buffet has a problem.

I have a problem. The only difference is warren buffet has a higher set of problems and I may have a very general problem.

The moral is, you cannot avoid problems. You cannot run away from your problems.

There is no ‘X’ destination to happiness that you will achieve it and become happy.

Authors and writers who are selling you this shit are making you fool.

Do you know how many problems I had before I sat down to complete this post?

Many, but I completed the post.

You know why?

It’s good you asked me why??

Because that’s my problem and I am the reason behind the problem.

No problem of yours is unique. You are making it unique by considering it; it’s out of your control to solve it.

So my advice to you is if I am able to influence you through this post then everyday sit down and reflect upon your day.

Try to own your problems. You will find yourself at peace before you go to sleep.

And as you meet peace by owning your problems, read my next tip to make your time worthwhile.

If you sleep for more than six hours, you can consider yourself to be lucky.

But that’s not what we’re going to talk about sleep today.

Instead, you can use sleep to make your sex life more effective.

… and attract more fun in your personal life.

Here’s how:

First, do not watch the screen before sleeping.

Next, always have a regular time to sleep and get up in the morning.

You can have a short nap of twenty to twenty-five minutes. It helps boost productivity and creativity.
